New Challenges & New Solutions on Work-Related Injuries and Musculo-Skeletal Therapy & Rehab
Dr. Tannoury recently hosted the
Work Related Injuries: New Challenges & New Solutions course on April 4th - 5th, 2013 in Waltham, Massachusetts. It brought together a diverse group of subject matter experts in the work related injuries arena, with over 200 attendees from over 24 states across the country.
The meeting provided a unique forum to highlight the latest challenges as well as emerging, evidence-based solutions for various work related injuries.
Shoulder, knee and back injuries, among others, are significantly more challenging than their counterparts when not related to work. Therefore, we brought together all the stakeholders that control or influence their care. Provocative discussions took place among health care providers, workers’ compensation carriers, employers, and good council, to discuss the injury at hand. In order to give a true 360-degree view, large employers' worries and initiatives were also discussed at length.
A sampling of attendees include occupational medicine physicians, surgeons, nurses, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, chiropractors, claims adjusters, clinical case managers, utilization reviewers, as well as lawyers, court judges, and human resources professionals of medium to large employers.
